This is the first time I have felt up to the computer. This is a tough recovery but they say I am doing really well. Until I had to do this, I had no idea what a difficult surgery this is. They say three months of not using my arms and shoulders, I can't even drive. Nice to be waited on as I am totally wiped out. Thank goodness I dind't do this as a morbidly obese woman. Can't even imagine. This is a direct quote from my handsome surgeon: "You are a delicate flower but you went through this like a rockstar". LOL Thanks for all your support.

So good to hear from you...I know you are relieved it is over. Just take it easy and do what they tell you...this is definitely not a race. It takes time and I know you will be feeling human in a little while.
You ARE a rockstar!

You may look like a delicate flower, but you have a spine of steel.
Glad to see that you are doing well.
You haven't killed any construction workers, yet, have you?

OMG I just started a nap in the recliner when a jackhammer started 6 feet from me. So I made my way to my bedroom where I found they had parked the crompresser for the hammer.... Tomorrow its raining so they start work indoors demolishing the cement foundation downstairs. I have as spot on the opposite corner where I might find relative quiiet, but it means my son will have to put up with me i his bedroom all day.

I feel for you, Gail. We've had lots of work done on our house and it is a pain even when you are feeling well. Your son will understand.

Gail! SO good to hear from you, I'm so glad your surgery went well and you are going to be ok! Your son was wonderful about posting here to let us know, and he sounds like a wonderful human being all around. I can't even begin to imagine recovering in what can only be described as a 'war zone' within your house, abut I bet he will understand. You have a long road ahead of you with those restrictions, I just hope your recovery continues to go smoothly. You ARE a rock star!
