]So it was confirmed today that I have a stricture. It's what has been causing all the pain swallowing. I don't have an appointment with the surgeon yet to see what options are available. Argh I just can't catch a break with this operation yet. Oh well better days ahead :-).

Yes, there will be better days ahead, Dawn. I'm so sorry you are having complications, but very glad you have a diagnosis and a treatment plan. Keep us posted on when you have your surgery to correct this!

Oh Dawn, how terrible. One good thing, it is repairable. At least you aren't still wondering what's wrong with me.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

Dawn, I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope whatever the remedy it's painless and easy. Hang in there, things WILL get better. The biggest hurdle is figuring out what is wrong when something doesn't feel right. Get well soon!

Oh dear No fair, leak now this! But, as miserable as they can make you feel, strictures can be corrected, usually via endoscopy. A 'scope' opens things up and then, more often than not, that does the trick, and it doesn't close up again. Keep us posted after you see your surgeon so we know where your stricture is and next steps. Hang in there!
