Hello! My names Elsa. Jan 26 2006 I had an RNY. Lost from 240-140's. Durring my pregnancy I gained some weight. Had a fistula fixed shortly after. (2008?) In Feb 2011 I was in hospital for 6 days. They fixed 2nd fistula and gave me 6 transfusions. I am extremely enimic.
Jan 2nd 2012 they discovered my pouch had again created an opening to my bottom remnant tummy, & confirmed both my stomach & pouch are stretched. They've scheduled a revision for "friday the 13th" my new surgeon will reshape my pouch to similar to the sleeve. He will remove a majority of my bottom tummy. He explained that's what tells me I'm hungry.
Our goal is I'll eat less & loose weight. I am 183. At 4ft 9in the Dr goal is 140. I'm hoping to dip to the 120's at some point.

Hi Elsa. Is your surgeon going to keep your pyloric valve and put that back into place? I don't understand how you can have a sleeve without your pyloric valve. If not, please get a second opinion. A pyloric valve is not something you want to lose.

It won't be a true sleeve. He is just reshaping the pouch portion to resemble a sleeve. And removing the top of the remnant stomach.
