Xpost: I searched here, but could not find brands that people have actually used. Is anyone familiar with a brand of bidet/ exhaust toilet seat, and HiPower Bathroom exhaust fan? My bedroom is unfortunately on the back side of the downstairs bathroom. The front door opens onto the living room...yikes! This is one I found with varying prices, due to different bells and whistles. I don't want all the loo luxuries, just the basic bidet and exhaust toilet seat. www.homedepot.com/p/Brondell-Swash-300-Advanced-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-Elongated-in-White-S300-EW/203159333

Hi DSwitcher,
Sorry I don't have any advice for you but I read your post with interest. I hope you find what you're looking for and I'm curious if this works the way it says. I'm not at this point yet as I hardly go and am only eating puréed food (I see my surgeon today and am hoping to go to soft food.). Please let me know if this works in case I have this problem in the future and it sounds very common!
Good luck, Kelly

I found one. The Bronnell Swash 1000 actually is a bidet toilet seat with air drawn from inside the bowl into a deodorizing filter. I am looking into it now...

On speaking with a Bronnell company representative, the deodorizing feature seems to be insufficient to deal with the needs of us DS folks. The Miracle Seat, which does not include a bidet, but can be accessorized with one, after-market, looks like the best deal. www.miracleseat.com/default.asp

If you are looking for an exhaust fan, we put this into our master half bath during a recent refurb - www.kitchensource.com/bathroom-fans/ft-pb100.htmBy all standard measures it is overkill for our small bath (we have the 190cfm model), which means that it's just right for DS use! (wife is a 9 year DSer.) It does an excellent job of venting the room quickly and is dead quiet due to its' remote mounting (we have to toss a piece of TP at the grill to see if it's on.) They do have several models of different capacity for larger rooms as well as duel vent models (like over the shower and over the toilet). We were skeptical about noise even with its remote mounting but are sold on it after putting it in.
