Hello everyone! I just wanted to drop in and say hi. I have been extremely busy with work and haven't spent much time lurking the past couple months. I hope everyone is doing well. I am ok...still just kinda wandering through it all. I am down almost 90 pounds and feeling more "normal" than I have in years. I still have a long way to go and lots of weight to lose but I no longer feel like I stand out in a crowd. That is a great feeling. My 6 month appt is scheduled for next month and I will be getting my first lab work since my surgery so I am anxious to find out my levels and tweak vitamins if needed. It's warming up here finally and that is exciting. Other than that... I guess I don't have much to report. I'm very boring. OOH! But, I did have a brush with the celebrity kind last weekend! We went to see my fave comedian (Nate Bargatze) ...if you haven't heard of him, check him out. He is super funny. Anyway, I got two hugs, he took a selfie with me, and when I went to purchase his cd, he insisted upon giving it to me (he recognized me because we are friends on facebook & twitter and he wrote a personal message on it and signed it for me. It was a very exciting day.

I don't think you're boring - you're starting to find life normal after DS - that is awesome all in itself. Congrats on your loss, in feeling like an average part of the crowd - and meeting someone "famous". I love a good comedy show!!

I know this has been a huge adjustment for you, the 'normal' surgery things, plus having a SADI instead of the DS. Your weight loss is fantastic, nothing boring about anything you have to say. And by my estimations, you're heading toward onderland then, very soon! And the comedian story is great, nothing like a celeb favorite/hero being a straight up person and doing something so personally nice for a fan YAY for you! Keep us posted, check in when you can!

Well, hello stranger!
You have never been boring.
Congrats on the awesome 90 lb. loss! You're going to have a wonderful summer!
If you don't mind, would you post your labs here when you get them? I'm still learning about your surgery and I'd be interested in your results for comparison purposes.
Thanks! Kelly
