Has anyone has a revision with Dr. Greenbaum? I am thinking about choosing him for my surgery and would like more information.

Is he the one you believe to be saying BPD rather than DS? If so, I suggest you go back and get more clarification. I've been acquainted with him for a number of years and cannot imagine him doing a BPD (aka Scopinaro procedure) rather than a DS. I think this might be a terminology issue, though I could be wrong.

No. Another vetted surgeon suggested the BPD because of insurance. Is he the one you believe to be saying BPD rather than DS? If so, I suggest you go back and get more clarification. Ah okay. I see from your other post that the not-named surgeon is now off the table. I think very highly of Dr. Greenbaum as a surgeon and as a darned fine human being, but his approach to supplementation sucks (as does that of most other surgeons). Dr. Elariny seems to be pretty progressive on the supplementation issues, comparatively speaking. But they are both outstanding surgeons. If you take a roadtrip to see Dr. G., I'd love to meet you in person. I live quite close to both his practice and the hospital. PM me if you'd like to do that .

Thank you so much! Right now, I am starting my 6 month supervised diet so hopefully I will know whether or not I am approved by June. As for the other surgeon, I guess it was not meant to be.
