RNY saved my life as well! I am off of 13 different prescription meds (including Enbrel, Prednisone and Methotrexate) am out of my wheelchair and no longer require my service dog.
I now am into female weightlifting and enjoy working with others in personal training. I am back into Large Breed Dog Rescue and Anti-Breed Discrimination... (Punish the DEED not the BREED).
I wish y'all luck. RNY is a good surgery but you need constant vigilance with vitamins and labs and such. Warmly, Jackie

Kudos to you! I have been saying for years, it is NOT the dog, it is the owner!! My Rottweiler was the BEST dog ever, would obey hand commands, etc. I loved that dog so much! I lost her after 11 years to bone cancer. People that don't know how to train dogs should either not get one or pay for the training with a good trainer and attend the training sessions. It really is not that hard but it takes time and effort! Anyway, Welcome! Good to see you over here, I hope more RNYer's come and stay to give advice. Shellie
