It is baffling to me. At the start of my journey I lost about 40 pounds before I absolutely had to change pants sizes. Now, my monthly fluctuation of 3-5 pounds results in pants not feeling comfortable!
But even more so, without permanent weight gain, I have 'shifted' and find some styles I have worn for the last three years to be miserable!
I am thick through the middle. No hour glass for me! But pants are tight these days and my waist size is actually increasing. I don't wear clothes skin tight because it is just not a good look on me. But with this expanding waist line, some classic styles are just not cutting it!
I am up about five pounds from my low maintenance weight. But seriously, my waist is an entire each bigger!
What is up with that?

It's amazing how much difference a few pounds can make now, isn't it?

I don't think it's just pounds that matter. I get what I call "bloat" every now and again I swell up, and what a difference that can make in my clothes, especially slacks. I can visibly notice it too, the waistline vanishes

My waistline is the first thing to disappear too. Now that I'm getting back closer to my goal weight, my boobs look bigger because my gut is shrinking.

I call that fat redistribution. There was time that I did not gain ..but it looked like I did. Then I gained... and all in right places... (boobs and butt)
But watch for some exercise - they will increase your waist and legs... make it more bulky...
Other - like yoga - and some isotermic exercise (like sucking in the gut) make the gut smaller (or look smaller).

Hmmm.........
The whole wider waist and no gain is puzzling to me. I can get the idea of bloating but not sure what food changes contribute to that condition.
I am finally exercising and now getting a pooch in the front!!
Not happy about that..............
