An ERNY is actually what is also called a distal, which means more of the intestine is bypassed. RNYs were divided into proximals (less bypassed) and distals (more). Often a ERNY is offered as a revision; I personally didn't want to even consider that over a DS, more of the same problem for me, I felt.

Yeah, you still have a pouch, can't eat and drink at the same time and have the same risk of dumping. You just have more malabsorption. NSAIDs are still a no go IIRC.
