I just had a revision from RNY to SADI-S or SIPS my Dr calls it.
Has anyone else have this procedure done?

It's a fairly new procedure NOT to be confused with the duodenal switch - they are not the same even though some surgeons are trying to sell it as "similar to a DS". You probably won't find anyone on the DS side of this WLS site that had it. Maybe try the main board?

The board is very inactive. People haven't posted in quite awhile

Your surgery is pretty new and not many have had it, yet. We've only had the random strays show up here. We'll help you any way that we can.

I am looking at having this surgery. I know being new this surgery is considered risky. Nicolelynn I am curious how you are doing?

Jolynne, the surgery itself isn't abnormally risky.
What remains unknown is whether the weight loss results meet peoples' goals and, more importantly, whether it provides the weight loss maintained long term.
It is just too new to provide that data.
That is the risk you would be taking.

I am looking at having this surgery. I know being new this surgery is considered risky. Nicolelynn I am curious how you are doing? I'm doing great! I'm almost 2 weeks out and down 10lbs so far. I'm still a little tender and sore. My largest incision bothers me the most.
