I'm 2 years out and up about 5 lbs from where I'd like to be. I've started monitoring carbs and proteins, and up my water intake, and while my protein continue to be good, my carbs are still higher than I'd like. Suggestions for grams of carbs and protein a day to maintain or to lose a little?
It's been so easy for so long, and I've been able to eat whatever, just focusing on protein that I feel a little lost, lol. Thanks!!

Sorry, I don't have any advice as I'm only three months out, but I wanted to say, you are amazing! Look at your statistics, I hope when I'm at two years, I can come close to how well you've done. Way to go, congratulations!

I would suggest tracking your carb intake if you aren't already. Carbs are such sneaky little bastages...they add up so fast. During the first year, I was told to maximize the weight loss window by keeping my carbs below 50. After that, the limit was 100 carbs per day. Since you are 2 years out and only 5 pounds above your goal, you would probably take those off by keeping your carbs below 100 grams daily. It will probably take some time to take off those last few pounds.
Congratulations on your weight loss!

Your going to have some regain. I am the same way right now. 2 years out and 4-5 up. from a consistent weight for 6 months. as long as it stays at 5 or so lbs, don't fret. your body is now adjusting to your new normal. I've been told that my face has filled out a bit from what it had been for a while (really bony).
watch your carbs, and your salt intake, since that can add water weight also. Same with alcohol consumption. I notice a 3 lbs gain for days after i have a few light beers, so just sayin..

It's different for everybody, and it also changes. So for example for you to maintain, you might eat 75g of carbs a day and be fine, it could be more. You have to experiment. So first of all since you'd like to lose a bit, I'd keep carbs at 50g max until the weight is off. Then when you want to maintain, increase that to 75 g and see how that does for a while, etc.
But you have to track your carbs in order to figure it out.

Actually, it says it under the message if the user puts it in his or her profile. Look under my message here and you'll see mine (original weight, weight loss, etc). Hope this helps.

Select the "Edit Profile" button at the right side of the page. Select the "Personal" tab. Fill out the information on this page. Most people put their stats in the "Signature" area on that page. Below that, fill in "Surgery Type", "Date" and "Surgeon". These appear in the box on the left side of the page.
Hope this helps you!
