Now that my tummy pain is gone, I understand my nutrition guidelines, and I have started incorporating my supplements, I'm ready to start some activity. I am walking 1 mile in the morn and 1 in the evening. That's all I'm good for right now. Later in the week I will bump it up to a mile and a half. I'm curious as to how you all incorporated exercise and what you've done to help tone up as you lost so rapidly. Thanks

Wow - good for you for waking so soon after surgery. I am 12 weeks out and still have not incorporated any regular walking - mainly because I am sooooo out of habit. At my heaviest I had severe foot pain and didn't walk more than I absolutely had to. I noticed the other day that almost all my foot pain is gone!! I need to start moving though - so your post is very inspiring!!

Awe!! Thanks! If I do nothing else, I've always made sure I walk. I hope since your pain is gone you can start walking. It really helps me not only physically, but I listen to my music and I love that jam time! I started a few days after I got home walking just 3 houses down. Then I got that aweful tummy pain and tried to Walk a few times but the pain after was just too much so I stopped. As soon as it was gone.. This past Friday I think, I started going a few houses further every day. Before surgery I walked a mile and a half every am and 3 mi in the eve. That's only in the nice weather though. So all winter I gain and all summer I try to get it off never catching up. I go back to work the 21st so I want to set my scedule now. It's going to be hard enough to get back into the groove again I don't want to shock myself !

Melanie, before you start walking again I suggest you go to the running store and get properly fitted for your shoes. It made a world of difference for me as far as pain and comfort. It was worth the extra money.

I agree on the shoes, also as you lose your feet change sizes for fun my feet went from a man's 9WW (women's 11-12eeee) to a man's 7W (women's ee)
