I, too, have seen you post this same questions which has been asked and answered. Are you not seeing the replies (I'm actually being serious, not sarcastic), or are you not believing them?
Dr Kemmenter is an excellent DS surgeon, but he's not known as a revision surgeon. Does that mean he has never, ever, done one? I don't know. But he definitely doesn't have the experience of the others. The two gold standard rock star RNY to DS revision surgeons are Dr Keshishian and Dr Rabkin, both in California.
There is a second tier of DS surgeons around the country, that are tops in their field at virgin DS's and probably CAPABLE of doing an RNY revision, but that doesn't mean they have the same experience of Rabkin and Keshishian. Those are Elairny, Roslin, Stewart, and maybe Kemmenter. I have heard of the first three, at least, doing revisions on select patients, but again, not in the numbers of Keshishian or Rabkin.
IMHO and for what it's worth, if me or anyone in my family needed a revision like that I would be heading to one of the two doctors in California - Rabkin or Keshishian.
Hope that helps. You really are being given the correct answer and advice by everyone who answered you so far.

I'm new here so forgive me if I repeat something. I am looking into having a revision done. I had the RNY in 2007, no problems or complications. I lost 140 lbs just 30 lbs from my goal and then due to some medical issues and new medicines, I gained 65 lbs in 3 months and have continued to the point where now I am 50 lbs from my weight on surgery day. So I've got all of the paperwork done, just have to get my psych eval on August 29th, have an Esophogram on Oct. 2nd and lose 10 lbs by the 2nd of Oct. After that, it's submit to the insurance. I keep hearing about different types of revision so I called my surgeons office today and asked the insurance specialist what kind of revision she does and he said she does a re-routing of the original surgery or modifying it. He also mentioned the word Anastomosis (An example of surgical anastomosis occurs when a segment of intestine is resected and the two remaining ends are sewn or stapled together (anastomosed), for example Roux-en-Y anastomosis). Has anyone heard of this type of revision and the results? I keep hearing about the DS but the insurance specialist assured me that she wouldn't be doing that. I'm just wondering.

Pawlla, Your (well really the insurance specialist's) description of what revision this unnamed surgeon would do for you is so vague as to be meaningless. My best guess, and I admit it's just a guess, is some kind of fine-tuning of your RNY, which is likely to be useless. I agree that it isn't a revision to DS, because as you have probably gathered already, there are very few surgeons doing this revision and I know of no female surgeons doing it. The surgeon you have attached yourself to thus far may be a fine RNY surgeon, but she is clearly not a DS surgeon.
I would strongly recommend that you contact one of more of the surgeons known for being capable of a true RNY to DS revision and asking if they can help you. I don't know where you are so I don't know who to put at the top of the list, but probably you will need to travel, as many people do. It will be well worth the effort to get a useful operation rather than staying close to home and having a major operation that doesn't help you and that would further complicate any (yikes) third operation.
So for you and anyone else reading this, the RNY to DS surgeons are:
Dr. Rabkin Dr. Keshishian Dr. Simper Dr. Roslin Dr. Kemmeter (I believe he has begun doing them) Dr. Buchwald Dr. Gagner in Montreal
I may have forgotten someone, but that's about it.
And to the OP, Ihave no personal experience with Dr. Kemmeter, I can only say that he has an excellent reputation. If you want to know how many he's done, you'll have to call his office and ask. Asking us again isn't going to help, we don't know.
