Hi, I saw your post on another website. You had a consult with Dr Rabkin, correct? He is one of the best. Are you in California? The only two to go to are Dr Rabkin and/or Dr Keshishian.

The few that do revisions: Rankin, CA Keshishian, CA Ganger, Canada Key meter, Grand Rapids, MI Stuart, TX Roslyn, NJ?

From what I know, and I got my info from Diana Cox, what I have already told you is correct.

Here are my comments, with their names spelled correctly, so you can research them. (Oddly, the ONLY one that was right was the oft-misspelled Keshishian.) The only two I would use are RABKIN and Keshishian. My opinion. GAGNER often does revisions in two surgeries, from what I've heard. KEMMETER - I don't know how experienced he is. STEWART - I don't know whether he is doing RNY to DS revisions. ROSLIN - often refuses to do RNY to DS, pushing for RNY to ERNY instead. Edited to delete unfair snark - it was not bellacherie's error.

I should go back and check, my memory isn't the best.

Ooops… Sorry that was me who miss spelled the names, not the OP and I take full responsibility. Spell check on this site some times changes the words and I don't notice or my mind was tired and I failed to check. Don't shoot the op on this one. I got Keshishian right more then likely because he was my doctor. Again I apologize. Well at least that was only one blunder I made yesterday….

Dr. Greenbaum in NJ used to be one of the go-to guys, but it seems that in many cases, he's talking people into an ERNY instead. We think this is because of the risks associated with a full revision, and the lack of support from his hospital. I would still talk to him, he did an excellent job with me and I was a difficult case. You can't go wrong with Keshishian and Rabkin in CA. Roslin is a bit of a puzzle. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
There are a lot of docs who do sleeve to DS revisions or Band to DS revisions, but the RNY to DS revision is much more difficult.

You must believe that it's a very small list. It's not a nice circumstance, but it is what it is. Best to accept and move on with one on the list.

But for sure he does not have the experience…yet… that Keshishian and Rabkin do. They are by far the top in this arena. If you do contact Kemmeter, be sure to ask him exactly how many he has done and what his rate of complications are. Good Luck. SH

Please choose very wisely. This is very complicated and serious surgery and, like Diana says, it's Dr Rabkin or Keshishian,

BTW, Dr. Greenbaum is definitely still doing DS revisions on a case-by-case basis. I met someone recently who is having one very soon.
