Hello, I've had a low-grade fever on and off for the past 36 hours or so. There are no other symptoms. I spoke with my surgeon's staff and they said it was pretty normal as long is was 100 or below. They recommended liquid tylenol and fluids. The fever broke this morning, but now it's back. I just feel like crap and don't feel like eating whatsoever. I did manage to get some oatmeal down this morning when I was feeling better... Did anyone else have a similar experience after surgery? I was switched on 12/16. Thanks,

I found that I was pretty vulnerable to colds and viruses for the first few months. It's always tough to eat when you're not feeling well, so just make sure you drink your shakes if it is hard to keep other foods down.

Fever is generally the first sign that an infection may be brewing. Please be particularly aware of any pain that develops and continue to monitor your temperature. It might just be a cold or it might be the beginning of something serious. Stay on top of it, please!

Like Sandy said! Stay on top of it. If you start experiencing any other symptoms get to a doctor ASAP! If I had been paying closer attention to my temp I would have had my bowel inflamition taken care of before the pain was unbearable. Don't freak out just stay on top of it! Keep sipping!
