I am really excited to tell everyone that I am approved for revision. I can't believe that this is finally happening. I think that I'll be having surgery in August.
I know I've forgotten some things and may have stupid questions.
I still can't believe that this really is a possibility.
Wow.

RNY to DS Revisionesta here! No question is stupid. Ask away this is a very well informed board. Members do not pull punches but they have helped me make tough choices and seen me through rough times. Best Whitney

Thanks Whit! We started out about the same time, but you got approved and I had to fight a bit. That said, boy did you go through some hard things! You've been an inspiration to me! Hope to follow your great example of positivity and progress.

Approved despite the "one-surgery-per-lifetime" exclusion, btw. I wouldn't believe it either, except it's in writing.
I still can't believe it. I've had "well, you're hosed" in my head for the last 8 months, only I'm very bad at taking "no" for an answer without even trying. Not when it's this important.
Just can't believe it.

Thanks but I have to say that is all a blur. My complications were not the norm but leaks do happen. I had an excellent surgeon who literally saved my life. I am truly very fortunate to have had a rather easy approval process but you won the fight and are well on your way to a healthier life. Take good care, Whit

HOORAY for you and correct, there are NO stupid questions! Ask away! Us revisionistas are a unique little group from virgin surgeries, our experience a little different. We can have some emotional/psychological baggage, along with the physical recovery which sometimes is a little longer. You can also PM or email me any time if you ever wish to talk privately. Stay on here and ask all you need to!

Wow is right. I remember that's just how I felt. I also had the "once in a life time" clause and had to fight. Congratulations!

How exciting for you. My revision was the BEST thing to happen to my body/mind, ever. I'm glad your insurance battle has ended. On to the good stuff!

Yay, great news! Congratulations
There are no stupid questions. I echo wholeheartedly everything Sharyl (girlrocker) said. Don't hesitate to ask away.
