I have alot of hair, and I haven't lost any of it yet...but I am noticing that when it is wet....it smells! Almost like a perm smells right after someone gets one? Have any of ya'll noticed this!? I can't smell it when it is dry....but again wet = stinks!!

Ya got me there. Hmmm…do you think you're just more sensitive to smells, so you're noticing it more?

My sense of smell was really intense for about a month after surgery. I sort of remember something like this. Everything smelled worse to me for a while.

I'm wondering that too. My sense of smell was like a super power after my surgery, for like 8 months. It sucked.
Also wondering if it could maybe be associated with ketosis?

My sense of smell has been fine--until you started this thread! Last night I was using a hot iron to make my hair straight and it had the worst chemical smell. I'm guessing it's been there all along and only NOW can I smell it! Ahhhh, the power of suggestion!

My sense of smell was super hightened post-DS. I also noticed it was off post-LBL as well. A month ago I loved the smell of my soap and now I loathe it.

I must be the odd duck in the group. My sense of smell, tastes, likes and dislikes did not change even a little bit after surgery!
What has changed since surgery is I have a LOT less hair, it never came back. And I no longer have dry scalp. Possibly my supplements?

The hair loss post-op is normal for a lot of people who have had surgeries. I forget the official name for it. I had it post c-section, gall bladder, DS and then hysterectomy. I fully expect to be shedding in a couple of months - post LBL.

I have noticed that I have been smelling things a lot more as well. Not so much my hair, but everything else. My dad's slippers were on the floor next to me last night and I almost threw up because they smelled so bad and nobody else could smell them....might just be your since of smell on overdrive.
