Last week my 15 y/o was sick. I thought he had a mild case of the flu. He's better now.
I woke up this morning with a sore throat, stuffed up nose, and a general feeling of unwellness. I spent much of last night and this am in the bathroom with diarrhea (sorry TMI). I don't feel achy (had the flu shot in Nov.), but do feel nauseous.
Should I see my PCP and see if there is anything he can do for me before I get worse (maybe it's the beginning of strep?) Or wait to see if I get better or worse tomorrow?
This is the first time I've been sick since getting my DS so this is new for me. I don't want to do something stupid and get so bad I wind up with dehydration.

Ya'll really believe in share and share alike, don't ya'll? ;D My hubby has been off work for the last 2 weeks, went back this morning. Figures I'd get sick when he's not here to take care of me.

i think it would depend on how much diarrhea and possibly vomiting you have. I would say more than a few episodes you probably need to call or go in only because of dehydration. You said you spent all night on the toilet...how are you doing getting fluids in?
I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Honeybadger (did I ever tell you I love your "name"? My SCA (medieval recreation) group is Brockore Abbey aka The Badgers:http://cunnan.sca.org.au/upload/6/69/Brockore.JPG. Sorry, I tried to post just the picture of our device which shows our badgers on it, but take a look. :-)
Anywho, I've only had one "episode" since last night, and my throat is less sore than this am. I hope I continue to improve, but I spoke to my PCP's office today and they said to come in tomorrow if I was still having issues.
Thanks for the well wishes! :-)
