When she explained why raw almonds work it explained why I haven't really had much heartburn since I stopped my Prilosec. I eat almonds almost everyday! They've got protein and fat! Perfect for me lol

VanishingMom, you aren't on a a PPI? I'm too early out to be eating almonds but do love almonds, I just can't imagine being able to get through a day without my PPIs! That sounds fantastic but in my wildest dreams right now.

That sounds fantastic but in my wildest dreams right now. Nope ;D I haven't been on them for a few weeks now, probably closer to a month. I hate taking pills that aren't something my body naturally needs. My vitamins are fine by me but chemicals like a PPI are something I hate taking. I used to have horrid heartburn even with them and when I noticed I didn't have any heartburn I figured I would give it a go. Almost a month later and what do you know? No heartburn. Now if I get it its normally because I ate something I shouldn't have like tomatoes or I haven't been drinking enough water.
