Dr. K leaves a hole in the top and bottom of the incision. At 6 weeks it is draining a lot, I emailed him about it and he prescribed KEFLEX. Is this going to play havoc with my system??? I am just starting to get SORT OF an even keel and am so worried about taking this.
Of course I don't want an infection to get going, but I want to know what to expect.
Thanks for any info on this!

Hard to tell. Antibiotics are interesting for everyone's guts. Better to prevent/treat an infection and sort the gut out later, though.

Starting it now. Took probiotics a few hours ago. Pharmacists say it will help with antibiotics induced diarrhea. Now taking it with food. VERY MOTIVATED to knock out this infection. That's the critical path here. Kelliblue my DS-mentor and guide said it well: just another hurdle. I'm mind-over-mattering this to be smooth and no problem!! But so much appreciate your reply.

I'm 2-1/2 years out but I have taken Keflex early out with no trouble. I also just finished a 10 day course of it a week or two ago. No problems. YMMV.

My farts smelt like roses for a while after antibiotics.

It's going well. Day 2 no problems. Looking forward to rose smelling farting.
