It just hit me I will lose more than 20lbs before I get home after surgery! It's been one week and I have lost over 14lbs! I guarantee in another week it will be over 20lbs!
This is mind blowing because my first year of WW I lost that amount! A whole stinking year of solid commitment and working out. I tell ya thank you DS!

Just remember that around the 2-3 week mark many of us stall out for a bit. It seems pretty common and won't last forever but I thought I'd keep losing through the 3rd week and it's been nothing. I lost 22 pounds the first 2 weeks (actually 17 of that was the first week)--however, I really don't care because I'm losing inches. Realizing that the numbers mean nothing.

I only care about getting all the requirements to keep me healthy at this point but just astonished at the weight loss. I guess I am one of those girls that second guesses if I will be the only one it doesn't work for. lol I am not a pessimist just a realist with some dieting baggage! lol

Danni, I totally wonder if it'll work for me too!!! Knowing my history with weight loss it's hard to have faith that it'll keep up. But I guess we just have to have faith. Right?

Just wait till your shoes fall off when you walk!! I can't believe how the D. S. has changed my abilities to move pain free, no more hip arthritis pain, and knee relief too. The best was having nothing to wear that wasn't swimming on me, and shopping for sizes I thought would fit 2 years from now, after 4 months since my surgery and 81 lbs lost. The numbers still me lots to me!! Speedy recovery to you!! ;-)

Your progress means the world to me, since I just started my journey into weight loss surgery. I am going to have the Biliopanctreatic Diversion with duodenal switch. I just know it's the right surgery for me. Good luck on your recovery, and please keep us posted. I would love to hear all the news. Thanks again and Happy New Year and New YOU!
