Has anyone had a resleeve? Were you successful with the resleeve?

Why are you considering a resleeve? Did you regain weight or not lose enough to begin with? How long has it been since your surgery? Have you had a scope to see how big it is now? I am asking because with my first WLS my surgeon made my sleeve way too large. This was in 2002 and it seemed like they didn't use bougies. My operative report just says that my stomach was reduced at the greater curvature and reduced about 50% And my pathology report on the part of the stomach that was removed said it was about 7 1/2 inches long and a little bit over 1 inch wide. That doesn't seem like a lot of stomach that was removed. I did lose all the weight I wanted but I never really felt I had restriction and by year 8 I was eating as much as I did before I had surgery and pretty much the same way and the same food, which is why I regained 100 lbs. When I went in for my revision my surgeon told me he was going to give me a RNY pouch. I didn't argue or ask for a resleeve because I didn't have faith in the sleeve any more, or in my surgeon's ability to perform it. I figured that I was able to out eat it pretty quick so I wanted as much restriction as possible. And I got it when I found out that my surgeon had removed all the a little bit of my stomach. I don't like that I have a pouch but I did have restriction. I usually get satisfied on a small amount of food in spite of being nearly 2 years out. Unfortunately I found out by accident that I do dump but I had already decided to avoid sugar anyway so that wasn't terrible but I was very worried about reactive hypoglycemia and I did eventually have a few low blood sugar episodes. So far, while far from pleasant, it wasn't as bad as I envisioned and pretty easy to resolve for me by eating protein and carbs together. I keep a snack with me in case it happens when I am not home but I have found that the way I eat pretty much helps it from happening more often. I guess what I am trying to say is that for me having good restriction has really helped me. If I still had my other stomach I might be 300 lbs or more by now because I could really pack it in and I always choose the worst things to eat. In fact, in hindsight I realize I might have done well with just a restrictive procedure but hindsight is 20/20.
