I have heard that my weight loss will "pick up" after hernia repair. Does anyone know if this is likely? I was also told that having a hernia slows the weight lost. I lost 80lbs, got my hernia at 3 months post op and have lost 56lbs since. I will be almost 16 months post op when I have the repair. I want to lose another 49lbs by my 2 year mark. This is totally reasonable, right? I have given into the holiday spirit, slightly. Getting back on track and starting Zumba for the Wii, interesting to say the least.
So to sum up, getting back on track, zumba, and getting this hernia repair is what I hope jump starts my weight loss again.
Thoughts??

IMOP yes it will. After each and everyone of the sugeries I had after my DS the restriction kicked in. Sometimes it lasted for a month others maybe up to 3 months before I could go back to my normal ds eating. This was not good for me as I did not want to drop anymore and it seems I kept getting hit. So power drinks and emzymes are my friend. My TT and herina repair 3 months ago left me with even more restriction and I am just now being able to get in more food. Did I drop, yes, and I working my way back up, yes. Does this get me down at times, yes. Does this define me, no. Change my way I look at life, keep good resorces close and move on through life.
Good luck to you. You sound so motivated, and you will seek what you are after with motivation. Karen

Thanks Karen! I hope I get some restriction and get the rest of this weight off. Just getting this huge bulge taken care of is going to be great! Ruby Good luck to you.
