I just realized I never let everyone know when my surgery was scheduled for. It is on 2/22/12 w/ Dr. Keshishian in Glendale at Verdugo Hills Hospital. My mom and I will fly down on the 19th. She will be staying with me until 3/4/2012 and then I will fly home on 3/7/2012 or later depending on what Dr. K says at the f/u appt. I am still not really feeling anything. A little nervous because I been reading the complication stories and how long people have been in surgery and it freaks me out. When I had RNY in 2004 I went into it all excited but this time it is just a different feeling. I don't know. At this point I am more excited I only have to work for 5 more days and will have a much needed break from my boss and my claimants. I had my first IV iron infusion last Friday and will have 2 more before I leave but besides that just laying around the house. Supposed to have a going away party this weekend but only a few people really know why I am going to CA so I do not feel like dodging questions all night so it may just be a small group going out for Hibachi and then coming back to my house to hang out. Well hope everyone is well.

Yes, good luck to all of you, I wish I were joining you there, but unfortunately, they aren't a "Center of Excellence" for United Healthcare

Thanks everyone!!!! lkstab, Dr K's office is not considered a center of excellence? Dr. K's office is, but Verdugo Hills is not a CoE hospital. Someone posted a while back that they were in the process of getting their CoE designation.

I am not sure if I will be down there or not when you have surgery, but, you are in my prayers!!!!!!! I was not nervous, terrified or anything. After nearly 3 years of fighting to get my revision. I was AT PEACE with my decision. I am SO GLAD you decided to pursue Dr. K!!!!!!
