Hey. I miss you all. I've been soo busy lately. I needed a break from everything online. Even my blog and facebook is suffering.
So my update!
I had my 6 month with Dr. Greenbaum and I'm down to 230lbs. That's 149lbs from my HW!!! We're waiting for the rest of my labs which I'm pretty sure I'll be on here with ASAP. (I can't believe I"m about to type this!) Also I got my wish. I have a small incisional hernia. It's painless and harmless and will help with my furture plastics adventure.
I guess thats it for now. Don't expect to see me too much on here for the next week or so I have a lot coming up but I really missed everyone and wanted to drop in and say HI!!!

I have a small incisional hernia. It's painless and harmless and will help with my furture plastics adventure. What does this mean? You can have plastics partially covered by insurance?

Yay - you are doing fantastic!! At Dr. Greenbaum's last support group meeting he talked for a bit about how he put together a package for a tummy tuck at the same time as a hernia repair and it would only be something like $2-3k out of pocket.

I have a small incisional hernia. It's painless and harmless and will help with my furture plastics adventure. What does this mean? You can have plastics partially covered by insurance? In my case all of it should be covered. I have United Health Care through the state (thanks to my wife and her SSI). If I do have to cover some of it out of pocket the hernia will help LOADS with this. We're setting up a "plastics fund" for things like my legs, boobies and arms that insurance will not cover and if I have to add part of a pani onto that I can From what I've read Greenbaums office is really good at working with insurance in these cases. When I spoke to the staff they've been able to have it covered by the same insurance in the past.

Way to go! Good job (?) on the hernia... It sounds like you did it just right Goldilocks. Not too big, not too small, just right for insurance coverage with no pain That's what we like to hear!

Way to go! Good job (?) on the hernia... It sounds like you did it just right Goldilocks. Not too big, not too small, just right for insurance coverage with no pain That's what we like to hear! The whole hernia thing freaks me out. I've seen big ones, I've heard the horror stories. So did I really honestly want one.... No. I won't lie though that in the back of my mind I thought about it everyday that a small one would be quite helpful lol Then one day I was getting dressed and exploring all the new bones I forgot I had under my fat and I felt this weird bump by my belly button. I squeeled like a fricken pig. My wife ran to see what was wrong and when I showed her she just shook her head and walked away. Dr. Greenbaum understood and was awesome when I saw him. I told him it was my only Christmas wish. He laughed and said "good job!" If you asked me a year ago if I would be secretly wishing for a hernia I'd laugh in your face, now it's all I can think about. lol Wait until I see my shrink this week! This is going to be an awesome session! lol
