Can anyone help me? I have no idea what a high level of B-12 means. I added my Folate results as well because everything I searched on google says the 2 are related. Thanks so much.
Vitamin B-12 - My Value: >1150 Standard range: 210 - 950 Folate(packed RBC's) My Value: 488 Standard range: 300 - 1450 Folate My Value: 10.2 Standard Range: 4.0 - 24.0

My PCP (who I really need to get rid of) told me that excess B vitamins are just pee'd out. If so, it could be that it doesn't matter....the pros will tell ya tho..

Lots of us aim for over 1000. How much B-12 are you taking?

Your PCP is only partially correct. MOST B vitamins get eliminated and don't cause much trouble. However, that's not true with B-6. It is dangerous to have high levels of B-6 and it can actually cause neurological problems.

Apparently it is very difficult to reach toxic levels of B-12. I wouldn't worry much about it. You could take your B-12 every other day if you like and see if that keeps it within normal range.

Many countries outside of the US only have a lower limit, NOT an upper limit, for B12 because it's not harmful to have higher levels of B12. I've seen folks here with levels of 2500+, yet I've never seen anyone having any problems because of it.

B12 is indeed eliminated and quiet safe in larger doses. I was left deficient after my sleeve and really took a liking to giving my self a shot and feeling good for a while (sounds bad doesn't it?).. I don't know if it was placebo or really doing some thing but it helped me to fight through the day to day exhaustion. My levels were 1800+ at last check. Better too much than not enough of B12. Other vitamins that is not so true but B12 the more the merrier. I never took B12 tablets though. The shots made me feel like a Bad Ass. My GP won't give me anymore till my levels come down
