Hi All,
Glad to be on these new boards.
When I had my DS, lab rat data was being used. I understand that is no longer being used.
Does anyone have suggestions of what has worked for them in keeping track of lab data? I'm approaching my year-out labs and I want to have everything organized so I have some long-term awareness of my vitamin levels.
If someone has something that has worked for them, I'm interested in learning about it. An excel spreadsheet? A database? Something online? I'd be willing to pay a fee, but I'd have to be sure that it would be secure enough by way of privacy.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks, blondegal

I just transferred all my results to a spreadsheet. I took a copy of it when I saw my PCP this week. Made visualizing the whole history very simple. I think he was impressed as it made his life easier.

Lab Rat Data was NOT for tracking labs - it was for tracking weight loss by post-op month along with other general stats (common channel length, sleeve size, surgeon, etc.).
I have always tracked my labs in my own Excel spreadsheet.

I saw this template sheet in thought it was great, so I've adopted it for myself, it's was posted by a DSer named Marilyn Margruder on Duodenal Switch Information Zone - www.duodenalswitch.com, it's in my Google Docs. I don't have all my own numbers/data filled in yet, my PCP didn't test for all the things I really want to track, but the template is complete and you can amend it as you need. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsCo4jC6kRwAdG4wTlA0c3pTd2piLTBNMUttX2dWa1EOk, I can't figure out why this won't hyperlink directly to the document, I've tried a few times, so you'll have to paste into your browser, while I try to get it to post right.

Sharyl,
Thanks for posting this link. I appreciate it. This was the kind of template I was looking for. When I started out, I had stumbled upon another site (choosing2lose.com) which had an excel doc that you used to input your weight each week. On another page in the doc, it graphs your progress, which is a lovely way to get a visual idea as to where you are. I was looking for the same thing with vitamins (as the long term graph will be quite helpful). This is a great start; if I have to build the back end myself, I may just do it.
Thanks again! Dawn aka blondegal

Totally with you on that; I knew a teeny bit after my RNY, but this is far more comprehensive and a learning process for me too. Dawn, you're welcome! I thought this sheet was a good guideline, having the ranges posted, spelled it out to me in plain language. Which I need ;-)
