Advice on How to take Ferotrin (iron)

I just wanted to make sure I am taking this correctly. I take it on an empty stomach, with vit C and wait 1.5 hours before eating, dairy, nuts, or eggs? Is this correct?

I wait at least 2 hours before having any dairy, caffeine, wheat, etc. I'm a big baby and often need something to eat when I take my pills or else they get stuck a bit, so I usually have a piece of an apple with my iron batch.

I don't know anything about Ferotrin specifically - never heard of it. I take Vitalady's tender iron. I was previously taking Proferin, but it wasn't helping my ferritin numbers, so I recently switched.

Thanks, this was prescribed by my surgeon I am not sure what is so good about it..if anything.. My PCP has no clue so I thought I would seek some advice from you guys!
