Hi All. I'm almost 2 years out and have been doing fine with VL vitamins. But I'm pregnant now and my midwife (although fine with my surgery obv is not an expert) suggested I take liquid vites for better absorption. Do you think this would help during pregnancy?
All my labs except my protein and calcium look good. Working on both.
The liquid calcium is EXTREMELY expensive even if I were to take only the recommended dose. I'd imagine we malabsorb at least some of the liquid even if it is better absorbed so that means even more to take of a very expensive product. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Is what you are currently taking keeping your labs in a good place? If the answer is yes, I'd keep doing whatever is working.
ETA: Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I use this calcium. The bottle says it has 64 doses, but I only take half a dose at a time because it has 1200 mg calcium per dose, and I only pay $15.00 plus shipping. Well worth it to me, because the binders in the pills make me bloated. www.vitacost.com/Tropical-Oasis-Liquid-Calcium-Magnesium

You might try adding the liquid calcium to whatever else you're doing. I used Lifetime brand for a while early out. Otherwise, the liquid multis and such are woefully incomplete for us. If the other stuff is working, I wouldn't change. For the protein, obviously it's time to add more supplementation. But how are your iron related labs? If your red blood cells are not magnificent, NOTHING gets carried as well as it should.
