Octupus jerky, lo-carb pizza, enchilada lasagna, pot roast, been quite an interesting week of menu items. I love reading what everyone eats, what the challenges are for the day, how you recover, the recipe/cooking ideas.
I am having continuing bowel movement issues/upset stomach, and not sure yet the culprit. So I'm having to revise my gameplan, make sure I get in two protein shakes a day so my menu is probably far less exciting for now
Meal 1 - deli ham, 1 whole grain cracker (early to take with iron) Meal 2 - Protein Shake Meal 3 - HB eggs, bacon with sf maple syrup Meal 4 - soy chickn patty that I blacken in butter, blackening seasons, with ranch dressing to dip Meal 5 - Protein shake **will likely snack on cheese, I have an assortment in the fridge

Not a DSer, but octopus jerky sounds interesting! I'd try it, but I love dried fish and squid things.. Today is Protein coffee, cheese stick.. npo for a while, then prob deviled egg, and sushi-therapy later. Chicken kaarage, tuna sashimi, and bits stolen from my DH's plate..

Everybody welcome! We can easily modify recipes based on the surgeries we have. I love the term sushi therapy!
I haven't had pepper steak in years, I think it's time to remedy that, it's such a great dish!

I wasn't in the mood to "cook" when I woke up today, so I made a "pizza" again. Hubby will be grilling steaks soon, and to go with the steak, he will also be grilling corn-on-the-cob wrapped in bacon.
Snacks will be cheese, and a open-faced peanut butter sandwich on low-carb bread.
Tomorrow I will be cooking some boneless-skinless chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, topped with cheese! Yummmmmm!

That pizza is a great, fast go to if you ask me! And oooooh the insane decadence of bacon-cheese chicken :-) I have lo carb tortillas here; I also have whole wheat crackers, which I have now crushed to use as breadcrumbs later on, mix them with ground almond. It's just too tempting to eat crackers, because they're light and easy to eat. They're super low in carbs, 10g for 3 of them and they are a good size, have good fiber, but I think this carb addict needs to steer clear. I don't go overboard on the tortillas, so I think pizza route is good for me too!

One small tortilla pizza, and I am stuffed. Of course, I load it down with cheesy goodness! But you can put pre0cooked meats on it too.
I need to calculate the protein on those chese, bacon chicken breasts, but it's got to be alot! ;D

Leftovers for lunch from the Chicken Cordon Bleu last night. Which sucked. The chicken was pretty dry, and neither of use wanted to eat it again today, so I threw it in the food processor with lots of mayo and added some celery, walnuts and raisins to make chicken salad and that was delish. Tonight, I ain't cookin'. We may even order a pizza. I'm trying to fatten up to start a weight loss challenge at work on Monday. Tomorrow I may go for Pecan Pancakes from Cracker Barrel. LOL

I have eaten like I have a tapeworm today: Arby's Cheddar Melt, 1/2 curly fry, chocolate turnover 1 can ravioli 1 double cheeseburger, couple fries, another chocolate turnover. 1 bowl Golden Grahams Leftover Pulled Pork A couple of chewy lemonheads A half an avocado and some garlic green beans with a couple oz of cheese (And I still feel like I'm STARVING!) Betcha I'm gonna drop on that scale. I swear I caught a tapeworm

Beth - I bet that chicken has 30-40g of protein!
Anna - mighty impressive reinvention of the leftover chicken! I'm having the same problem with reheated protein I had during my RNY, it took over a year before it didn't bother me.
Tapeworm...god I know days like that!

Yeah, I'm definitely having trouble, it did go away before, but I don't know if it will this time :-( I would totally add pepperoni to the lo-carb pizza, it's my favorite!
