It took me several weeks to convincce my internist to give me an iron infusion ( i live in canada where low end normal for ferritin is 50 and mine was 67, my iron saturation is 16 percent) I was happy to be getting the infusion and it went well got 125mg ferrlecit over 1 hour . But then was frustrated to hear they did not plan a series. Most have gotten at least a series of 4 or 500mg. I have to wait for new iron studies in 1 to 2 weeks to see if I can get more. I want MORE is that too much to ask?

When I got mine, I had them 2 weeks in a row. That's all it took for me, and my ferritin was 4 or something. I was also pre-op at the time, so that helped I'm sure.
If they check you and decide to do another next week, I think that'd be fine. But if you aren't feeling any better, keep pushing them! Hope it works out!
