Been back in Alaska from California 8 days & it has been about cold!!!!! Like 20 below or more.
My recovery has been slow going, but good, and uneventful, except for concrete constipation that got impacted. 2 days ago, I was able to "get rid" of all the concrete. So, now I have been concentrating on walking, sipping, & doing alot of resting.
I have mostly been sleeping in the recliner because of my abdominal incision. A little in the bed, but it is uncomfortable for now!!!!!
Slow & steady as I heal a little bit day by day -Jamie

I had my virgin DS done open. It took a little while to be comfortable when I slept but a recliner was not an option in the little bitty apartment I was in at the time. If you are a side sleeper (as I am) then propping your stomach up with pillows and putting another one behind your back will help a LOT!

Jamie, glad to hear the constipation concrete is behind you! Rest, sip, walk, all good! I remember those temps as a native Chicagoan, still laugh when I listen to newscasts like now where it's 'chilly' in the 40s and 50s :-) Cool on having a recliner, would have loved one of those, but no room in my cozy studio bungalow. Happy healing!

Your revision was open, I imagine? Continuing best wishes on your recovery! Yes, it was an open RNY to DS revision, and I would not have it done any other way. I wanted to give myself & my surgeon the BEST chances for a good outcome. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs, Jamie! It's so good that you're well.
I hope to hear more from you now that you're on the dark side!
