So I went to the doctor today for my post op check up and he was very pleased with my success so far. I have lost 38 pounds and tomorrow is my 2 week mark. I also saw the dietician and she is concerned about the amount of protein that I'm getting, but released me to eat a little bit more different kinds of food. I also got some unflavored protein powder to put in my food to make it better. She also gave me a huge packet of yummy protein shakes to make them a little more appetizing. The only thing that the surgeon was a little concerned about my incisions...I developed an allergic reaction the the durabond stuff that they put over my stitches and they are really red. He gave me some medicine to help get all of that out and clear up any infections that might be starting there. So tonight my Mom made me my FAVORITE meal...it's called white chili. It's a weight watchers recipe, and has a base of chicken broth, green chilies, chicken, and white beans. Normally I would have had it with tortilla chips, but instead I just added some shredded cheese and sour cream and mixed it all up. It was fantastic!!

Great to hear an update from you!
Vitalady sells samples of protein shakes on her website, too. You can order a few samples to try before buying a bigger container of the ones you like.
Sorry about your incisions, and the chicken sounds yummy.

White Chili sounds great!! I use unflavored protein added to my home made soups, thickens them, tasteless, adds so much protein. Easy to blend in warm liquid with a spoon. I doubled my protein in drinks, really helps to increase numbers. The taste is stronger, I like it better. Everything will be easier as time goes on. ;-)

Congrats! Sorry to hear about the soreness around your incisions; I had that with my drain sites, and I still do with the feeding tube (which comes out next week, thank GOD) Keep them clean, saline is a great home remedy. Wishing you smooth sailing, and yes, that white chicken chili sounds fab!
