Some of you have been around here long enough to know my story. I am considering having a revision because I can't gain any weight back. I am 17 years out and taking all the supplements 3 special protein shakes a day but I continue to lose maybe 1 pound every couple of months. I sometimes hold where I am at for a while then I lose another pound. I have a doctor who is willing to do a revision to introduce enzymes further up in my intestine to increase digestion and absorption I just wondered if anyone has had this done or knows someone who has. I am getting kind of desperate. I am at about 134 and a 5'10" Male 67 years old with heart problems and prosthetic legs having to do with letting myself get so malnurished was in a coma. This was my fault and my doctor good old Dr.Heap. He never warned me about any of the things that could happen or what nutrition I needed and I felt fine untill the end. I am desparate but afraid of the surgery. The only doctor in this state that does the BPD-DS won't even talk to me because I am on Medicare and don't have any money. He wants money up front and the right insurance behind. The doctor who is willing to do mine is the head of bariatrics in Rapid City S.Dak and is a very caring doc. So would like to hear from anyone who had this problem or knew someone.
