Hi, I'm a 30-year-old mother from Canada. I was a little obese before marriage. I managed to lose weight and stay in shape after marriage. But, after delivery of my daughter, I started gaining weight again. I'm planning to do a tummy tuck surgery ( www.lakeviewsurgery.com/procedures/tummy-tuck ) from Lakeview Surgery center in Richmond Hill next month. But I'm worried whether I will be able to conceive my second kid after the surgery. Are you guys familiar about this? Do you have any suggestions?

I had an abdominoplasty as opposed to just a tummy tuck after I lost weight. I wanted the muscles pulled back together as well and tightened. Why would you want to stretch out your tummy tuck, which is removing excess skin, with pregnancy? You should have all your babies FIRST, then have the tummy tuck. Otherwise you're wasting your money (if you have to pay for it) and wasting a painful surgery that you would probably have to repeat. It will stretch out what existing skin you have left when you expand that area with 9 months of a pregnant belly.

So, quick question... Are you getting paid to drive traffic to that surgery center? I ask because your question makes no sense. You are seriously asking if a surgery to rearrange your skin would affect fertility?

First of all, not everybody is able to plan their lives in advance. I had a DS, I had an abdominoplasty, and then had a baby after that. Sometimes life doesn't work out the way you anticipated. And my stomach bounced back 100% after I had a baby, fwiw. But many people are not so lucky. However....syruppgg....this is a bariatric surgery site, you need to ask your questions about purely cosmetic surgery somewhere else. In addition to which, your question about cosmetic surgery and ability to conceive is absurd, which makes us all think you are a troll. If you are planning to have another child in the near future, then why on earth would you have a tummy tuck now ??
