I finally had surgery on April 21st. For years I have tried and come close, but got one reason or another, I failed to meet my date in the OR. Well, Dr. Smith in Celebration Fl, made and kept our date. So far, I've been walking, sipping and trying to rest. Not easy when I'm used to going full throttle, but I'm doing better.

Welcome to your new life! Which surgery did you get? Keep walking and sipping. You'll soon be feeling very good!
Good luck, Kelly

I chose the DS. Best option for me and I've made lifetime commitment.

Congrats. Sip and walk. Usually takes 3-4 months to feel 100% (at least it did for me). Slow and steady wins the race.

Flslim, I'm so happy you chose the DS. It seems like the surgery that really works, I've been upset for some friends I've made who selected other surgeries and are now regaining.
I'm also excited to hear you did this in Celebration, FL. My sister lives there and it's nice to know there are doctors familiar with the surgery in case I ever have a problem visiting her. Unfortunately, I've been one to get every complication though I get through it and have never once regretted my decision.
Keep up the great work, Kelly
