Hello, Everyone,
It's been a good week, albeit, busy. Monday night I lost my match which means I don't go to the NJ Tennis Championships, darn... We tried a new strategy to try and win the team and I ended up being paired with a player who played at a lower level. Our opponents figured it out quickly and that was it. I played three hours of tennis yesterday, though, and it felt great! The time flew. Another match Monday night at a very nice place...
My weight went down which surprises me because I'm eating much more. I feel good, though, and I'm not worrying about it since I am still in my window at one year and one week. Still waiting on insurance approvals for the surgery, hopefully, this week I'll get the approval and the date. Not looking forward to this one bit... Will be happy to get rid of the hernia and diastasis, however. My friend goes in for surgery tomorrow for a sleeve, I'm praying he does well, he's a great guy.
This week is our church, Pine Barrens Festival. The hubby and I are scheduled to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. He's cooking steamed clams and I'm serving, this will be a first! We usually do a game or something but he was recruited for the clams, he's a great cook. It should be fun.
Well, it's 7:00 am so I better start getting ready for church. Already saw my son off fishing with his friends, hope they catch a bunch of flounder for us to eat tonight!
Have a great week everyone, Kelly

Not yet, I'm going in for the appointment as soon as insurance is approved because, in my opinion, what is approved can change the course of the surgery. At that point, I have a list of questions:
1) Mesh or no mesh 2) Type of abdominoplasty or pannulectomy 3) Recovery time 4) Special eating recommendations afterwards 5) How long does he project I'll need a caretaker 6) Approximate length of surgery and hospital stay 7) Do I bring my supplements (vitamins/minerals/prescription) to the hospital 8) Pain management needs (I have a low pain tolerance) 9) I get gel shots in my knees, I'm about due, should I wait until afterwards or get them done 10) I get Depo-Provera shots, will that delay my surgery (the last one was in June, I'm due in September)
Please feel free to add to my question if you think I'm missing anything, this is definitely out of my field.
Thanks, Kelly

LW: 116-117 CW: 119.5 OK, let me tell you what is going on. Feedback is more than welcome. Background (for those who don't already know this about me): I have congestive heart failure. I weigh myself every day because the first indicator of fluid buildup around my heart is going to be my weight. The rule of thumb is if I gain more than 3 pounds in a day or 5 pounds in a week, I'm supposed to call my cardiologist. I've been 116 - 117 for about a month with an occasional 118 here and there. Friday I weighed 117. I stepped on the scale on Saturday morning and it read 121.5 pounds. I didn't carb out on Friday. The only different thing I ate that were out of the ordinary for me were 2 of these cookies: Sugar Free Peanut Butter Cookies (1 dozen) 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup Splenda 1 egg Mix and bake at 350 on a lightly greased baking sheet for about 8 minutes I have had these before without a weight spike like this. I didn't have any other fluid symptoms like puffy eyes or ankles. And it was Saturday (of course), so I decided to chill and see what happens. Sunday, my weight went back down to 119.5. It is the same today (Monday). This has me pretty freaked out. I have not had trouble with artificial sweeteners in the past, but I keep thinking how NYB says that things change, then change again. So I took the rest of the cookies to a neighbor and have been towing the line for the past couple of days. I am stumped, so if anyone has any idea what this could be caused by, please enlighten me, as it does not appear to be fluid. Thanks, and have a great week, everybody.

I think you' probably retained some fluid, but I'd call the cardiologist to be safe. The cookies are not to blame. You will likely gain some weight back, e erybody does. But in your case, call the cardiologist to be safe.

I agree with NYB, call the cardiologist to be on the safe side but I believe it is probably that bounce back weight we hear about. It's not a lot of weight for bounce back but you are so tiny, I'm thinking you are at 16 months so it's possible. Praying that's what this is. Please keep us informed, saying some prayers for an outstanding outcome...
