I was wondering if anyone else uses this iron. I've been trying to take it but each time I do I get an upset stomach. Morning, lunch, bedtime, doesn't matter. Don't know if it's cause I'm 8 weeks out or it's just no good

I use vitalady vitamins. I had no issues other than in the beginning getting nauseous taking pills. But that wasn't the pills. Just me and one of the interesting phases of this surgery for me. I am happy that it seems to have stopped.

I started taking the Vitalady Tender Iron, 5 a morning. So far, seems okay. If I have to do a little belch within an hour of taking them, it's unpleasant, but not nauseating. I'm hoping this helps and I can avoid iron infusions. Good luck.
If you are getting sick, you should probably change the brand.
Hope you feel better, Kelly

They really are no big deal. I much prefer getting iron infusions over having to take oral iron every day (which I don't absorb anyway).

Thanks so much, NYB, I always appreciate your straightforward, good advice. I think I'll ask my doctor for a referral to a hematologist and get the levels correct sooner, rather than later.
Appreciate it, Kelly

Hope you feel better, Kelly Thanks Kelly if mine keep bothering me I will try them. I agree, iron infusions aren't bad at all. I've had numerous ones over the years. My first doctor was a nightmare though. His office was horribly busy and I'd spend 8 hours there to get one. Plus I had to have my husband bring me cause the iron they used I was allergic to what the mixed with it and would have to have benedryl with the infusion. The last doctor I used was excellent. In and out in no time and he used a different iron mix so no benedryl drove myself there and home. They gave me 2 infusions in the hospital after surgery. I have been taking iron for 8 years and am constantly anemic. One time it came back with a huge red line saying urgent it was so low. That was the first time I realized my chronic ice chewing 24/7 was due to having no iron. My PCP ordered some blood work I'm going to get this week. Once I get the results I'll see where my iron is and maybe I'll just go see the doc again if it's super low. Good luck! And thanks again
