Have you tried colestid (or another bile salt binder). Google bile diarrhea and read about it. It is very real and causes very bad diarrhea for a small number of people. I am one of them. Colestid makes my life livable.

Good guidance on here Maggie, I know you feel miserable and this is hard, but hopefully you can dig in and give some of this a try, not need any more surgery. And seeing a new doc on your home turf sounds good too.

Not sure how you are doing on all your vites, but I can change my bowels very quickly by missing one day of my vitamins. I see you are not taking your calcium and I would recommend adding that. If you are taking magnesium as a supplement, be careful as that just adds to the whole diarrhea circle. I wrote about that on another post, so I won't bore you and repeat it here.
Diarrhea is a horrible thing. Its not just an inconvenience and painful, but it robs your body of fluids and can make you feel like crap all the time. I am sure you are miserable most days. You have had a very tough time of it, and I'm so sorry for that. There are a lot of good suggestions here...try them one at a time.
Steak was my life saver early out. It gave me protein, it was solid, my vitamins went down easier, my bowels improved. I really felt a general sense of well being when I added steak. It was my lifeline. Rotisserie chicken helped prior to that, but I always struggled with chicken (still do a bit). I ate a lot of steak. It was my miracle food. I hope you find your miracle and get this turned around quickly.

Where to start? First that sux that you are feeling so CRAPPY. I agree with Kelly almost 100%. NYB has tons of great points. Sashimi? Bad idea. What is your goto food? Mine is steak. Maybe lobster. In this situation I would do nothing but those two things for a few days. Period! No veggies, coffee, tea... Water and the two or three proteins I picked. Does it suck yeah but it is not food and meals it is short term testing and surviving. I would prob then try to add eggs, then different protein powders.
The tiredness? Any cramps? With that amount to BM's dehydration is very possible too. Talk to K, talk to Herron. You don't know they would even suggest surgery. Please don't focus on worst case scenarios.. Deal with it 1 hour at a time for the next week.you will get on top of this! Big hugs Kenny Ps you going tonight?

Fullhhousemom brought up some more points. Chicken kicks my butt. Pisses me off too. The other thing that effects my bowels rapidly? Caffeine! K
