I'm just over a month post op.
I love this site. Everybody here seems so much more down to earth. Not as much whining.

How are Doing? Back to work? Regular activities? Have you advanced to full diet?
Sorry if it seems like I'm firing off so many questions but I'm hoping to be in your place by April and what a good sense of what's in store. Congrats on being 1 month post op!

I'm a stay at home mom, but am back to doing everything I did pre op. My energy level is crazy high and I feel great. I'm on soft proteins with no veggies or starches right now. It's very easy to keep up with and next week I'll be approved to eat anything that I want within reason.
My hubby is having the surgery on March 14th and he's been watching me like a hawk. Honestly, for me, this has been an incredibly simple process. No pain, no complications. I know it isn't that way for all, but certainly in my case, I can say that this has been wonderful. My whole relationship with food has changed. It's really amazing and a little difficult to explain.
Congrats on your upcoming surgery!

A bit over 2 years post-op. I would still love to lose 10-15 lbs (have had about 5 lbs bounce back from my lowest) but no longer willing to do ultra low carb and severe calorie restriction. So I guess I'm in maintenance.........sort of! In the last 6 months I have experienced a relaxation in my restriction (which is definitely non-existent when eating refined crap carbs!) I HATE the carb craving cycle that is my daily battle now!

it's wise to figure out what you are willing to so long term, realistically. I eat carbs and when I eat too many I feel crappy.
so what I try to do is eat what I really really want, work on habits that make me feel GOOD, and not worry about it.
working so far!
