I literally went back and read almost ALL pages of threads when I first signed on to this forum in April. Maybe I'm lame for doing so, but I had a shitload of time on my hands during my lengthy recovery and wanted to absorb as much as I can. I learned a lot doing so and feel it would be a great disservice to lock them or archive them.
Also, I am not sure why "bumping" old threads is even a problem. Even if the OP is no longer here to respond directly or giving a shit, it opens the door for the people that ARE here now to begin a new (or old yet revived) discussion about the topic. Unless it is about something time sensitive, like planning a trip to a specific conference on x day (which would obviously make no sense), I'm for it.
Just my 2 cents. I will continue to read and respond to old/older threads unless the TOS indicates it is a violation.
Edited to add: I just read a few of the latest posts. I now understand the concern for drumming up old drama and *partially* agree with that theory. As such, if I do find an old thread with a topic that I want to discuss, I will start a new thread if it is that important to me. However, I will also probably provide a link to the old thread if there is an abundance of information I feel should be brought to attention or referenced in the new thread.

This is an excellent idea!

Well said Solomen (PGB) I have to say I have read most every posted thread and I think we get a lot from them. I know I have bumped a few, and I really would hate to see them stop reposting. My 2¢ worth K
