Just wanted to remind those of you that haven't already to go ahead and report your band failures with the FDA!

Mine was replace in 2009. I had a new surgeon and I had the original 4 cc band. After my son was born I could never get normal restriction, it was either wide open and I could eat anything or add 0.1 ml to the original fill and I couldnt even swallow. So he replaced it with realize (GRRRRR so mad that I didnt know more about VSG at that time) Anyway Im not sure how id report that? Nothing was ever diagnosed prior to replacement.

Hi Rebecca and welcome! Please, don't get a band. What appeals to you about a band? Tell us more about what you're looking for and then we'll be able to give you more input about better choices.
