I won't complain that's for sure. Did any of the vets here go through a period you have to make yourself eat? Weekends are awful, I've found myself getting to 3 or 4 pm and going "oh crap I haven't eaten".
Not the end of the world of course but not good for me and I have 1-2 days repercussion when I do it. I ate next to nothing over the last 3 days (was on a mini-vacation) I was eating protein only, thank goodness for that. But I was busy, going, going and just didn't eat.
Now I'm at work, I'm back in a routine, I've been eating my foods today and I feel like crap! I'm so tired LOL.
It's like a foreign land. Never ever have I been one of those "I forgot to eat" people!

I would love to be one of the ones who is never hungry. I find myself constantly thinking about what I'm eating, going to eat, have eaten. It's all consuming sometimes.
Enjoy the lack of hunger!

not hungry camp - and also in the nothing sounds good one too.
i'm fighting the 2/3 bites and done meal & am just picking all day long. i get 60g of protein in my shake in the morning & all the rest is bonus - i might get to 550-600 calories.
cheese/greek yogurt/shrimp have been my staples of late.
i'm a revision & at goal - ready to enjoy eating again, but just not there yet.

Redbabe, wow that sounds like me. It's like my stomach is so finicky, it hates everything. I have to resort to string cheese, cottage cheese, any fish when I get there. I usually make it through those days as long as I'm on my routine and eating them.
But the forgetting to eat all day is just my silly early alzheimers or something! I literally forget even though I feed my kids. My intentions are good, I make them something, if I can't eat it I "intend" to make myself something I can eat, I get my ADD/alzheimer's brain on and get busy.... and then it hits me. LOL.
And yes I will enjoy but I don't like how I look too skinny so don't want to be there either..

Though I didn't have any hunger for the first 4-5mo post op, I did hold myself to a structured eating plan from the get-go.. protein shake first thing, cheese stick, etc. I would have forgotten to eat and more importantly- drink those first few months as even thirst just wasn't there..
When I get busy, I'll occasionally space it for too many hours, but usually at some point I'll start feeling nibbly/hungry.. and logging everything makes me realize pretty quick that hey, it's 8pm and I've not nearly had enough XYZ.. But I never lost my "appetite" for food, no food aversions, and oddly enough no real issues dealing with the reduced quantity or change to a protein focused diet. I still love to eat.. only rarely do I get a tad annoyed that I can't have one more bite, then I remember.. Oh yeah, I can have this later, I don't need it ALL right NOW.

I had one episode of not hungry in December. Thought maybe I was a late no hunger bloomer. I was just getting the funk. :}

It really only hit me about a month ago. I did have hunger before that but it was mild.

I've always been in the "forget to eat" camp...which is odd considering I was 75 lbs overweight. It wasn't that when I ate, it was good stuff, I would eat the wrong stuff and when I did finally remember, I'd eat way too much.
But when I get in front of the computer working on something, I'd forget to pee if my body didn't remind me so well.

I'm about six weeks out and I can still forget to eat. But it's not good when I do, and I don't feel well. I am really trying hard to get a rhythm of eating.
I do get hungry, sometimes quite hungry, which I didn't at first. But that hunger is satisfied by two bites of food.

I don't ever really feel hungry. I drink a shake for breakfast and drink like a fish the rest of the day. I suspect all the liquid is why I don't eat, finally around 2:00 pm I'll have 1/2 cup of greek yogurt. I'm not hungry for it I just need to put some protein in my body. When I prepare the evening meal for the family I'll have more protein and a vegetable, then in the evening a 6 ounce glass of red wine.
I love it that I'm not hungry!

most of the time I forget to eat until 2pm and then play catch up all day. Now at almost 6 months out, I seem to get hungry a little earlier. It is 1130 and I really need to get off the computer and go eat!

I don't get hungry or thirsty, which is Bad - my pee is so dark. I carry around water, I've set a little alarm, etc - hasn't helped. I'm hoping I can get back to a new normal of drinking water, more at one time. I'm almost 10 weeks out - haven't lost anything for two weeks, don't get that at all!!!
I have always had to eat or I felt sick, not now - strange how that changed . . . I feel the need to eat but not hunger. Hope the weight loss starts again and this isn't just one more hit to my metabolism - probably need more protein and water. sigh

Wendy, are you just drinking plain water? I used to be a plain water LOVER before surgery, but now, I am hard pressed to drink plain water. I mean, before, I would have plain water in a glass and it would just be GONE! Now I need a little flavor in it, or else, all I am doing in carrying it around. :{

No water, no loss, it has nothing to flush fat with and liver will be over taxed and not doing its job. Warm flavored drinks are easier to get down than cold ice or plain water. Get it in! I do most of my drinking when I go to bed and when I wake (before/after meals).

I don't have hunger, per se. It's more like a nagging dizzy/sick feeling if I don't eat on schedule. I've increased my calories and I'm eating more, but I did that by changing up my schedule. I eat every 2 1/2 hours or so.

I would think at this point it wouldn't actually 'hurt' to drink but it feels like pain when I drink even room temp much less cold, which is what I like unfortunately. I tried those drops - didn't really like that, need to keep trying - maybe some room temp flavored tea might work. Thanks for the response, feeling a little sorry for myself last night!!

I'll make some peach tea and see how that is at room temp - I'm thinking it will be good. Thanks!

I'll try that - it sounds good, and afterwards I could put the slices on my eyes!!!
