I never realized my feet were fat, they kind of in proportion to my huge body looked normal. Of course I've gone down 1.5 size and I now know the pads of my feet were fat.
What is left now are these callouses down the center of the ball of my foot. It's painful. I've been trying to file them down but they are deep. I learned from experience you never cut callouses because the grow back worse.
Is anyone else dealing with this? Even soft comfy shoes don't help. I'm not on my feet a lot, but I'm more normally active than I was - cleaning house more, park my car further, take the stairs now, walk with the kids to the store, etc.
Just wondering the best way to get these things down so I can walk without pain. It's not plantar fascitis, I've had that, it's gone. This is deep, thick, hard callouses in the middle of the ball of my foot ;(

I scrub my feet with Mr Pumice Pumi Bar every other day in the shower (it works best with wet/softened feet), you will have to do it at least daily for a while Im sure. You can also use it after just soaking your feet in warm sudsy water and use it repeatedly letting your feet soak a few minutes in between to soften until you make some headway if you need to. Eventually just doing it in the shower will be enough. It takes patience.
P.S. You can get them at Sally Beauty Supply or most any beauty supply for like $1. Walmart might have them too

I had a callous just like that on my right foot. Last year I used some of that callous remover. I think it took about a week or two for it to almost go away. I still have some hardening but it doesn't hurt any more. It's been a year so I guess it worked.
