Hello everybody,
Feel like suggesting meals? I'm not yet three weeks out, so "slippery" is the requirement. I'm getting bored of my chicken soup, turkey/cream cheese, ham/cream cheese, protein shake, soft-boiled egg, turkey chili diet, but I feel like I'm hitting a wall as far as what to do next that still falls within the "slippery" requirement. I'm especially looking for stuff for lunch/breakfast.
Any ideas welcome!

Hrmm.. Tough subject...
Maybe a crustless quiche with some baked salmon (or smoked salmon) mixed in?
Salmon salad (flaked baked salmon, chopped red onion, dill, lemon, touch of mayo) on cheese crisps...
Chawan mushi with shrimp and mushrooms (it's a japanese savory egg custard you can make in cups)...
Chicken liver mousse on apple slices or cheese crisps...
eggs florentine (eggs benedict without the english muffin but placed on a bed of spinach)- sautee some spinach as the bed, top with a poached egg and hollendaise
hollendaise is easy: 1 stick of hot melted butter, 3 egg yolks, pinch of cayenne, 1/2tsp lemon juice. Put egg yolks and cayenne into a blender and turn onto low, slowly pour in hot melted butter a little at a time until it created an emulsion. Add lemon juice and salt. Taste to check seasonings, pour over eggs).
There's also a million eggs benedict variations you can make: use mushrooms and other vegetables and meat as the "bed" for the eggs benedict- like seafood (crab and lobster), smoked salmon, breakfast sausage, sauteed leeks or endive, etc... Maybe even a good chilli?

I am not a typical breafast food eating human, I just tend to have meat, cheese and salsa. Well, that ends up being a lot of what I eat :}.
lets see, buffalo chicken salad, bullet up some chicken, add a bit of blue or gorgonzola cheese (the beauty of a strong cheese is you dont need much to add a lot of flavor), some greek yogurt to "slick" it down (or ranch if you like) and some Frank's sauce. Keep the celery out until later.
chickeny salad or tuna salad, meat, greek yogurt, capers.
I liked greek yogurt in my chili.
Ricotta cheese flavored up with chili powder, or curry powders.
Whirred up green chile with ricotta or smashed in bulletted meat.
If you crock smoked turkey legs down and then debone the meat, something about the smoking makes it taste like ham, so I would make ham-not salad, so that meat, yogurt, capers.
A greekish salad, so chicken/turkey (bulletted) mixed with some feta and kalmata olive tampanade, lubed up with greek yogurt with a squeeze of lime on top.
Also broth from meat that I had crocked was a nice changeup to canned broth.
I dont have a Costco near, but have a BJs (same same) and they have a yummy artichoke tampanade, and I like that mixed with the chicken and yogurt.
I dont know if eggs will or wont sit well with you, but you can make them like you would the egg wash for French Toast and then cook those soft. I cook the leftover egg for my husband along with the French toast and we call it French Scramblers. :}
Egg drop soup is nice too, 2 cups of broth to 1 scrambled up egg, pour the scrambler into the broth when its nice and hot, stirring until the egg is mixed in. I dont like when it turns stringy but you might! Also a sprinkle of ground up scallion or cilantro is a nice touch (also a spoodge of soy or tamari).

Spaghetti sauce made with lots of ground meat cooked until very tender, top with parmesan.
Tuna casserole, no noodles.
I eat egg salad for breakfast a lot.

Greek yogurt is my go to food when I can't think of anything good.
melted cheese always slid down well for me. Just melt a little in the microwave.
couldn't get enough of refried beans, melted cheese, and enough sour cream to make it slide down easily....
tomato soup with, again, melted cheese.....

I second BL's buffalo chicken salad!
Greek yogurt with protein powder is also good. As well as ricotta bake. I really enjoyed lots of different soups (esp. butternut squash) with a little bit of greek yogurt on top.
These first few weeks are rough, but oh so worth it!

Hummus, refried beans, SF pudding, NSA applesauce. Laughing Cow cheese, very soft-scrambled eggs (especially good with cheese mixed in, makes em even softer), mashed cauliflower with lots of cheese & butter (ck with your nut regarding veg, but cauliflower cooked to distraction is pretty easy on the tummy). Cottage cheese and/or greek yogurt with any kind of SF flavored syrup mixed in, or some people like salsa mixed in. Find a recipe for brats-and-cheese soup with beer, and make it without the brats (for now). Any of this workin for ya?
