I have never, not once that I can ever remember in my entire life, been able to say honestly that I forgot to eat. I could no more forget eating than I could forget breathing. I never understood those people who forget to eat a lot, or who just forget food until they're hungry or whatever. I'd never had that experience. But this morning, I was busy, and around noon felt a little odd and realized that though I'd had my liquids, I had forgotten to eat. What a weird sensation! I just ...forgot. It's just so weird.

Yeah, that odd feeling turns into kinda weak and annoyed if you go too long. It's even worse if you aren't getting your fluids. You'll get used to it all. I eat on a schedule, for the most part, to make sure I eat and get my fluids. It's a habit at this point. I don't have to think about it, but you'll have to be conscious of both for a while.

Same here. I could never understand someone who *forgot* to eat a meal. I would get up from breakfast and immediately start planning my lunch.....just living from one meal to the next.
The first time I realized I hadn't thought about food in hours was shocking. I got that weak, lightheaded feeling and realized it was after 2:00 and all I'd had was protein coffee. So I ate a cheese stick, and had to make myself eat the last two inches of it. Wierd, man.

I have had that forgot to eat feeling even as a pre-op - it's a very good sign because it's usually because I am so "into" something.
life = it can be very good!

After a shake in the morning I'm good till 1:00 pm, but early on I had to remember to eat, what a great feeling when you realize it.
