Hi All!
I am now 10 days post op and finally the pain has lessened, nearly over the cold I caught a day or so after surgery. In short, I feel pretty good. Met with my nut and surgeon -- they are pleased with my progress. Only downer -- nearly another week of full liquids. This stage is dreary! Since I never really liked chocolate, nor was a big milkshake fan, its kept my limited options really limited. Oh well, this too will pass! Weirdest is not having an appetite, that and DH keeps asking if he is eating right. He is trying to change his eating habits too. Says we are in it together!

Good deal that you are feeling better! I too never cared for the milky-type shakes, so I did Syntrax Nectar, both flavored and unflavored.. I still use it as my protein supplement. I don't know if you've tried them, but if not- here's an email I got back when I asked if they had samples.. I wrote or called almost every place I could and got several freebies (from Premier Protein, their chocolate RTD I CAN deal with) and several low cost offers.. Good luck! Sample pack info below if you are interested..
We are currently offering a one time only, limit one per person special on the Nectar ‘Variety Sampler’ containing 13 full serving packets of the following flavors: Apple Ecstasy, Caribbean Cooler, Crystal Sky, Fuzzy Navel, Lemon Tea, Pink Grapefruit, Roadside Lemonade, Strawberry Kiwi, Twisted Cherry, Chocolate Truffle, Strawberry Mousse, Vanilla Bean Torte and Latte Cappuccino. The price is $13.00. The Nectar Variety Sampler receives FREE SHIPPING and orders typically arrive in 2-5 business days via UPS Ground. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please give us a call at 866-333-7403 x 801. Our hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm Central time.

Yes tracking protein and fluid. Started using realizemysuccess at nut's suggestion. Before I just wrote it down. Not sure if I like it, but it was an eye opener on calories and how little I was eating. I just don't have an appetite. Good on one hand, like the point of the surgery works. On the other hand, for the first time in my life I can watch food shows and love what I see yet have no urge to go through the process of eating. Weird!

Great news. My husband has lost 40 pounds since I had my VSG by eating like I eat. He also says its because I'm not bugging him to eat all the time so he only eats when he's hungry as opposed to everytime I wanted to eat (which is very true). :-)
