I had labwork for my clearance letter by my PCP March 24. The labs still haven't came up on my portal, so Monday I'm going to call and get a copy of everything so I can adjust my pre op vits accordingly. I also want to make another appointment as I have realized many more labs I should've asked for, but I was too new in the research to realize at the time. They did TSH, T4, lipids, CBC with diff, CMP. I want to absolutely get orders to draw my; vit D, PTH, Fe panel (Fe, TIBC, Ferritin). Is there ANYTHING else I need? Maybe vit A, E, K also?
I go back to Knoxville June 17 for pre op work up per my surgeons orders. That gives me a couple of months to get my current levels at the higher end of normal before surgery, which is why the urgency to find out from all of you what all I still need to ask for this Monday from my PCP. After June 17, I don't see anyone again until my surgery on July 6. So again on June 17, I have a final chance to do my personal best to adjust my vitamins to hopefully avoid deficiencies later on. Thank you for your help and for taking the time to read this! I'm in a slight panic.
Also--should I get a bone scan ordered for a pre op baseline?

Oh, I'm sorry. Not sure how I missed that one. It's almost verbatim what I asked about. I'm sorry for the repeat!

Just a quick note from your post. Adding vitamins pre-op just puts you in a better starting position post-op. It's just easier to adress some of the things pre-op before the malabsorption. It's your attention to post-op vitamins that will keep you from becoming deficient. I know you were probably talking about not being deficient at the start but I just thought it was an important distinction to make.
Congrats on getting your surgery date.
Pete

I did have the bone scan pre op, most surgeons have that as a requirement.
