My 6 months labs results are in. I'll see Dr. Elariny next week but would like some vet inputs:
I'm quite pleased with most of my labs. They are all trending in the right direction but I do have a few questions:
PTH is 13 (range:14-64) Calcium 9.7 (range:8.6-10.2) Vitamin D total 111 (range:30-100)
Can you help me interpret this? Low PTH but better numbers on the other two (they trended up from 3 month labs). The lab messed up my PTH specimen at 3 months so I don't have that.
Other labs that are out of range: B6-86 (2.1-21.7) B1-67 (8-30) K1-1937 (80-1160)
My AST & ALT are elevated but have trended down.
B12-1681 (200-1100)
Iron:42 (40-190) - this trending up by a couple points Ferritin:28 (10-154) also trended up by 4 points Transferrin:241 (188-341)
If not too much trouble I'd like some opinions. TIA!

TIA! Good stuff. You want a low PTH. Great D (most people are D deficient, so the fact that yours is high is good). Definitely keep an eye on your iron/ferritin. You're at the very low end of normal. Ferritin should be around 100. I've had major issues with high B levels, and have ultimately stopped for additional B vitamins - I only get what's in my multi-vitamin. I don't know what it's like to have a high K, mine is always low even with large amounts of K. So can't advise on that one. Say hi to Dr. E for me

My B vits just keep trending higher so I may need to look at that. I have already pulled back to every other day with them after my 3 month labs. No idea why my K jumped like it did. I doubled my D dosage from my 3 month labs and it went from 46 to 111. Should I back off from the double dose or keep it doubled to maintain? Thank you for explaining the PTH- I knew it played a part in the Calcium & D leeching but couldn't remember where I wanted it. Since I'm trending upward on iron I think I'll double it up and pray I can still have bm's and see if I can continue to trend it higher. I'm sure infusions are coming but figure I can give it a shot. I'll let Dr. E know you said Hi! Misty
