Thought I'd run this by some others.
I ended up with a terrible ear infection/sinus infection this past week that pretty much laid me up due to vertigo & pain. I was in the bed/chair for a couple of days before the antibiotics kicked in and brought comfort and the vertigo disappeared. I did/do wiggle my legs/ankles often and am a pretty restless person so I wiggle around a lot in general. Two days ago my left calf started aching, my husband rubbed it, no relief though. Yesterday the calf continued to hurt and started hurting behind my knee. It feels like a leg cramp/soreness, it's not really that painful. Today, in the area that is bothering me I started having little spasms. I've also noticed some tingling of my toes in the effected leg. There is no pain, redness or swelling. Could I be deficient in something? Should I be worried this is a dvt? My husband wanted me at the hospital yesterday, he didn't sleep last night very well worried that I had developed a dvt. Opinions please.

I'd call the doctor also. Nothing to wait on or play around with

Dr. E returned my call right away and now I'm off to the ER for an eval for dvt.

I'm back from the ER. My ultrasound (she was very thorough) showed nothing! Yay! My labs were all normal and they gave me a bag of fluids just to top me off (which I very much appreciated). I have no idea what's going on with my leg but at least dvt has be ruled out. Thank you for your responses. My husband is at ease and can sleep tonight. Dr E has been texting with my husband. He is emailing an order for a full set of labs that I will do tomorrow. I really can't say enough good things about my surgeon.

Excellent, Misty, this is great. I've been checking periodically since your last post. This is a relief and I'm glad that both you and the hubby can sleep good tonight. I really hope your pain goes away. Stay healthy!

You might want to have that knee checked out with an orthopedic. Could be torn meniscus, arthritis or something else. I am happy that it wasn't a DVT.
